Why did I choose Robertson County?
Updated: Aug 9, 2019
Beautiful countryside, four distinct seasons, a sense of history and place, and an easy commute into a world-class city are all reasons my family calls Robertson County home. More importantly, the charm and comfort of living in communities where folks hold on to their traditions and genuinely care for each other is a Tennessee way of life that we treasure.
The rich agricultural heritage has helped preserve the open spaces and working lands that provide a sense of peace and oneness with nature that urban lifestyles just can't offer. Spending a day in quaint downtown Springfield is trip back to Mayberry, where shop and restaurant owners will learn your name and what you like if you stop in more than once.
There's no shortage of things to do, from community festivals and concerts to farmers markets and local art, history, and theater events. We have found we can get just about everything we need without leaving the county, but Nashville is just 30 minutes away when we are craving college and pro sports, symphony and fine dining, or high end shopping opportunities.
We love our 150 year old farm house setting on 20 acres in the midst of our neighbors farms. The days are peaceful and the nights are dark and full of stars...except in spring when the fireflies put on a show!
